For more than 20 years Lee Brilleaux fronted the legendary Dr Feelgood. Lee’s death in 1994 robbed the music scene of one of its most charismatic performers but his legacy lives on. To celebrate his career, Grand Records is releasing a collection of his best blues recordings. Over the years Dr Feelgood covered many blues classics by the likes of BB King, Freddie King, Little Walter, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and of course Lee’s main man Howlin’ Wolf. Many of these recordings are featured on "Wolfman Calling". The CD also includes two Feelgood rarities – Johnny Guitar Watson’s "One Kiss" and the Sonny Boy Williamson standard "Don’t Start Me Talking". Both are appearing on CD for the first time. As an added bonuethere’s also a radio feature on Howlin’ Wolf which Lee presented on the BBC.
This is the first ever collection of Lee Brilleaux’s blues recordings and is a must for blues fans and Dr Feelgood fans alike.
